Character Interpretation is a wonderful teaching & presentation method that uses storytelling at its core. It can be used in classrooms, museums, in festivals. Learn how to adapt this great method for the person in history that you would like to portray and present. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet and interact with a person from history, as well as learn the techniques of being a successful and believable Character Interpreter.
Sheila Arnold has been performing since age 8. She presents Storytelling Programs, Historic Character Presentations, Christian Monologues, Professional Development for Educators & Inspirational/Motivational Speaking for schools, churches & organizations throughout the US. She also manages & contracts new business for History’s Alive!, which mentors & provides opportunities & guidance to performers. Ms. Sheila, as she is fondly called, has been performing full-time since 2003, and travels nationally each year. One of Sheila's greatest joys is being the co-founder and Artistic Director of Artists Standing Strong Together (ASST), which was begun during the 2020 COVID-19 crisis, & continues to be a source of inspiration, strength & action in the storytelling & artists' world.
