Mentored by renowned storytellers like Rona Barbour (UK), Christine Carlton (Australia), Roger Jenkins (Singapore) and Kiran Shah (Singapore/Australia) respectively, our mentees have embraced a transformative storytelling experience.
OUR MENTEES AND THEIR MENTORS
Anagha Prasad, is a professional storyteller and a certified Yoga instructor for the past 10 years. She shifted her tracks from corporate llife when her calling of life came to light. Being a Bharathanatyam dancer as well, she realised how all the 3 art forms which chose her are intertwined. She loves to explore intertwining these arts and making her audience enthralled.
Anagha's mentor was π₯π’πππ₯ πππ‘πππ‘π¦ (π¦ππ‘πππ£π’π₯π)
Roger started storytelling in 1998 after careers in both teaching and theatre. He brings the experience earned through teaching, acting and directing community performers to his role as a mentor. His strengths as a teller are in comedy, spontaneity, visualisation and wordplay, though as an experienced improviser and tandem-teller, he likes to work with whatever his mentee brings to the session. An award-winning author, his constructive advice is great in helping to shape or tighten a storyβs structure.
Krupa Vinayagamoorthi believes storytellers are like DNA strands - custodians of the essence of humanity. Stories of our genetic code. She enjoys telling uncomfortable stories and exploring the perspectives untold. She is passionate about bringing Asian storytelling and storytellers to the world through her work as Consulting Director of the Federation of Asian Storytellers (FEAST).

Hanan Mohie El Taher's storytelling journey began with the bedtime stories that her father used to tell her when she was a little girl. Her father would sit next to her on the bed and tell her the stories of the clever rabbit and the cunning fox and of 3am Marzouq and El Soltania, and many other stories that she remembers to this day.In 2011, Hanan left the corporate world and established a social enterprise under the name Yohka Anna (Once Upon a Time) which aimed to spread the culture of reading among children. Among the activities carried out by the organisation was storytelling. In 2021 Hanan began her career as a storyteller to children and adults. Hanan believes that storytelling is an ancient art, but it has been forgotten, and she seeks to restore life to that great art.
