A decade ago, by sheer accident, Debjani discovered the beautiful art form of storytelling. Since then, she has been sharing stories with audiences of all age groups to spread happiness and joy. She loves retelling folktales, mythological accounts, and authored classics—lacing them with contemporary threads and a hint of humour.

She believes storytelling can be a powerful tool to teach concepts and make learning joyful. She has trained over 3,000 teachers to incorporate storytelling into their classrooms. Debjani also uses stories to develop the soft skills of professionals and has conducted workshops for various multinational companies.

She has been part of several prestigious flagship projects of the Tamil Nadu Education Department at both school and college levels, and has performed at numerous storytelling festivals.
