“ALAS, OUR COMPANY GOT HACKED!”
A reputable company has been hacked. Servers made inactive. Waste management software compromised and chemicals have now leaked outside the factory. All customer transactions are frozen. An anonymous call supposedly from ‘the hacker group’ demanded 50 Bitcoins paid in 3 hours to restore the company's systems. Fail to do so and all systems will be damaged and all customer information deleted.
Cyber Police report no external penetration of our IT Systems & digital networks has been detected. This attack was organized internally! As In-house access requires double layer iris and fingerprint checks, the Chief Inspector has summoned all staff with direct access to the system. This is 8 people: the Company’s top managers and the CEO’s personal assistant. They will be interviewed in our (online) meeting room. A journalist who knows the tricks and frauds of Corporate life will assist the Inspector.
We have only 60 minutes to discover the culprit(s) - or the Company will have to pay the ransom.
While everyone attending the meeting is welcome to ask questions, we are recruiting candidates to play the following key roles the CEO; 3 Assistant General Managers (Operations Sales, Finance-IT); A Director of Investors & PR; A Factory Manager; An IT Manager; A Finance Manager; A Personal Assistant (PA) to CEO; the Chief Inspector; the journalist.
